Vintage & Handmade Jewellery for us all

Named after my daughter, Savannah, my online shop, Savvy Treasures, is finally here!
I have amassed quite a stash of jewels in all of my years collecting (over 30!) and have finally found the perfect combination of my two loves - shopping and jewellery!  They have come together in fabulous fashion on this website, in my Etsy shop and through Instagram!  Over the past few months, I have been honing my collection to be something worthy of sharing with others and hopefully you will find something you love and adds a little sparkle to your day.

I started my working life in fashion retail - both men and women, and have also been in homewares when my eye for pulling together great collections was used to help sell home accessories.  I now work mainly from home in a consulting role, far removed from the glamour of retail, shopping and collections, so this new online venture helps tap into my passion for shopping and jewellery!

In addition to finding fantastic treasures for you, I also catch and release a few items for myself.  I won't lie, I do like to keep some of the pieces because they are amazing!  And I am weak-willed!   These may come to the shop at some point in the future, so watch for them.  And if there is something I am wearing and you need to make it yours, just let me know!  I will either sell you mine or find something similar.  We can definitely work something out!

I get very excited when showing how to make vintage wearable everyday and I do this mainly through my Instagram account, @Savvytreasuresuk and my Gallery pages on this website.   I look forward everyday to pulling together different outfits and pairing my jewellery and I hope to inspire you to dig stuff out of
your closet and jewellery drawers to try out your own combinations.  I have a few friends who have joined the tribe of bling and we make quite a showing at the school gates - I am seriously thinking we need to create a group called JewelleryMamas!  Is that a thing already?

I live on a farm in deepest darkest Kent, spending 6 months of the year in wellies as I navigate animal feeding time through claggy mud, and the other 6 months in flip flops avoiding brambles, thistles and nettles - and the occasional bumble bee underfoot!  But no matter the weather or clothing, I always have something from my collection on my wrist, finger or neck.  My friends laugh when I walk the dog because I always sparkle a bit inappropriately and 2020 has definitely been the year for a more casual style, what I like to call relaxed glamour.  I'd like to think I invented it, but sadly, no.  On the upside, there are a lot of women just like me, trying to bring a little glamour into their everyday!!

My grandmother was a first generation Italian, born in 1920 and living in New York City.  I inherited my love of bling from her, and our most favourite past time when together was to visit the jewellery stores and troll through the sparkly trays looking for another treasure to add to our respective collections.  I loved to go through her jewellery box with her and listen to the stories attached to each piece.  I was lucky enough to inherit my favourites from her and wear them with love and pride.  She passed not too long ago, and I can still hear her saying "Wear it now!  You can't take it with you!"  So, I do.  I wear something that makes me happy every day.  Even if only lounging around on the sofa in my pyjamas I will put a little necklace, a ring, a bracelet (back to the relaxed glamour theme!)  They make me happy.  And I hope you find something here that will make you happy, too.

Welcome to my website and enjoy your visit 😍
